Use the map for a grave visit
The map of Cologne West Cemetery does not provide a complete grave register. To find one grave, first obtain the section, row and grave number through grave search or from City of Cologne, Office for Landscape Management and Green Spaces. Next, locate that section on the linked plan and choose the closest named orientation point for the final approach.
What the markers do and do not mean
A marker on the Cologne West Cemetery map identifies a named place at the cemetery. It does not by itself state that a building is open, that a route is step-free or that a grave lies nearby. For those needs, combine the marker with the access details, the grave reference and, where necessary, an enquiry to the cemetery administration.
