Origins and development

Designed by Johannes Ibach and Karl Wach, the cemetery opened in 1917. The funeral hall followed in 1921 and the crematorium in 1935–1937. A Covid memorial opened in April 2024.

Origins: Inaugurated in October 1917. The cemetery is in Vogelsang, Ehrenfeld borough, at Venloer Straße 1132, 50829 Köln. Its area is approximately 52.3 hectares.
